This was what I was TRYING to photograph.... had the clouds not abruptly appeared, the angle of the sunlight would've had these blossoms glowing quite gloriously like they were on fire... almost! These are the red crab-apple sakura!
During the day, the sunlight wasn't right, or in shade. But, the storm came n washed them away...

Since I've been unfortunately stuck in New England since October 2001, it's been a constant struggle with the horrors of the weather up here. Not only is there less light up here than what I was used to where I originally came from which is the Greater Philadelphia Area/Tri State Area, it's often cold, erratic, unpredictable, and clouds spring up out of nowhere!
I'm MORE THAN GLAD it hasn't been the typical soggy wet, pouring spring it usually is! But, since I like to shoot towards the end of the day, since I prefer the colors from the later sunlight over the mid-day light, it tends to often have random clouds which accumulate directly over top of my specific town!
Anyways, I have tried a number of times shooting whatever I could. The weather is, as always an obstacle... but, I'm also experiencing problems with my battery. I need to get more, and I ONLY have 1. Since I've practice frequently with my camera, it it tends to exhaust the functionality of the battery.
Some days I can get over 3 hours of nonstop shooting, where as other times, I'll be lucky if I can even get 10 min. I have no idea why.
here are just a few of the photos I took over the past few weeks. I'm not as happy with them as I would have liked to be, if there weren't so many stupid clouds, or if my battery would fully charge each time.
Some frames I used various filters on. I'm still practicing with them.
I shot these photos spur of the moment, because I've many times tried to rush quickly to apply some make-up and within 3 min, clouds would swoop in. I'm SOOOO frustrated with this, that I just shot some photos, incase the clear sky would become disturbed.
Anyways, I'm on a diet... so, whatever... can't be pretty all the time...
