Boho Chic Decor Tipsy TV Project 2018

 

 Usually I post this sort of stuff to my other blogs like my Boho blog or my Main Art Blog, but I felt like I was neglecting this blog a bit. Anyways, I'm down in Philadelphia and my dad's house has fast internet, unlike my home, so, I'm uploading stuff here.

But, back in 2018 I invested in some new equipment and shot quite a lot of experiments, photos, B-roll footage and more. I shot stuff for my own TV Show projects at WCA9 and also for my friend's film "The Holy Maple Tree". I bought a 50mm prime lens, a camera crane jib, a floating head video tripod, and even rented a CANON 135 f/2 lens, got a an Action Camera, and many other things.

1 of the TV Shows I worked on was "Tipsy TV" which I made the intro graphics & footage for and eventually became THIS:

 

That project crashed N burned.... (I didn't really want to work much on the project, because it wasn't mine, but I knew most of the people that did work on it.) but my work was the only good part. So, I repurposed it for my own project the way I wanted it:

 It was a very very very long series of nights and days of discussions about what the head Creator/Director/Producer wanted. Anyways, I was never paid for it, and I own all of my footage, plus the producer canceled their project.

The photography I made during those experiments and practice sessions which was several days and nights during a major nor'easter blizzard, got awards and high ranks in my GuruShots.

Wissahickon Trail Philadelphia

 I'm visiting my father down here in Philadelphia. (He has fast internet/wifi which is why I'm uploading so much this morning, my internet in Greater Boston is awful, n by this point most things won;t even upload.) Last night I went with my brother on the Wiassahickon Trail. These I shot on my Samsung Galaxy which backed up to my Google account.

But, my DSLR photos can't upload to this laptop because I didn;t bring the cable, n there's no SD card port on it either. So, I'm S.O.L.!

This is my Shiny Bulbasaur/Ivysaur planter sculpture I made last year with the Succulent inside it. It died tho. Hand painted, and hand sculpted. Made with Scupley.

I used my 50mm Prime lens (pancake). 

Key West Florida Southernmost Point Pre-Lockdown March 2020

 

Yes, I ACTUALLY went down to Florida this year, IN MARCH,  with my Dad, LITERALLY RIGHT BEFORE LOCKDOWN. We also went to the Florida Keys and especially Key West. In fact, we left a day early.

Florida is especially challenging for my to photograph because it's in the Tropics and more sunlight so I'm not accustomed to this kind of light exposure. There's more light density there. I find I OFTEN hate all my photos when I'm down there.

I often play Pokemon Go here. I nominated this garden to be a POkeStop opn the Niantic Wayfarer, which got approved... however, someone moved the point into the wrong cell so u can't play it in PoGo. Only in Ingress.

South Field- Union Point Film Equipment Spring-Summer 2020

 

So, there's been a lot of movement at South Field by the Hangar (AKA The Hang Out) over in SOuth Filed (Union Point) with a security detail. They're been moving around quite a bit. My friend, Roland, also went there and saw it himself. (We're both filmmakers.)

I play Pokemon Go over there, n I mentioned this to the players n 1 of the players in the Discord server confirmed they were official crew on that film project for Disney. They alleged they were the LAST crew before quarantine lockdown (March/April). However, there's been a significant uptick in in activity there since May, tents and everything.

As you can see, these were all originally shot in High Key.... not actually my style, and also not originally intentional. But, not bad. I tend to prefer more color saturation tho. 

It's fine if you like High Key, and sometimes I do that by accident, but I shot them in high key to maintain the Depth of Field which was letting is a LOT of light exposure making it very white washed. I elected to keep it in High Key for the entire shoot, then processed them myself. I wasn't sure what the post processing would look like, but I like them. I just like my saturated processed photos more. I just usually don;t care for low key or high key that much but they are interesting styles of photography.
